These terms govern your use of PageMarks, a browser extension provided by Nolojia Limited, a company registered in Kenya ("we", "us"). By installing or using PageMarks, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it.
PageMarks is a browser extension for taking notes on webpages and remembering the pages you care about. It is a subscription product. There is no free tier — access requires an active subscription or an active free trial.
You need an account to use PageMarks. You must give an accurate email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person; please don't share credentials.
You must be at least 18, or old enough to enter a contract where you live.
New accounts get one 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start it. You will not be charged during the trial.
PageMarks costs $2 USD per month or $15 USD per year. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. Prices are in US dollars; local taxes may be added at checkout.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as our merchant of record. Paddle handles billing, tax and invoicing. Your card details are given to Paddle, not to us — we never see or store them. Paddle's own terms apply to the payment transaction.
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Account → Manage subscription, which opens Paddle's billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep access until then. We do not require you to email us, phone us, or explain yourself.
The extension locks. Your data is not deleted. Your notes, memories, collections and workspaces remain in your browser's local storage exactly as you left them, and become available again the moment you resubscribe.
Your notes are yours. They are stored on your own device. We claim no ownership of them and no licence over them. You can export everything to a plain JSON file at any time, from Settings.

We may suspend or terminate an account that does these things.
We work hard to keep the service up, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. PageMarks itself keeps working offline; our licensing service is only needed periodically to re-check your subscription.
PageMarks is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use PageMarks after that means you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, cancel — and you'll be refunded any unused portion of a prepaid period.
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
